VMWare ELMS Student Licenses
Overview Student VMWare License
An IT student may obtain a student home use license for VMWare Workstation for Windows, Fusion for Mac, VMWare eLearning, VMWare vCenter Server, VMWare vCenter Lab Manager or VMWare ESX vSphere.
The VMWare student licenses are valid for one year and students are allowed to obtain only one license for each product.
If you wish to obtain a student home use license, follow the steps below:

STEP 1-Activate your student email account (if not already activated)
- The ELMS system will use the full student email address as a username for the system.
(The student email format is: {user}@stu.matcmadison.edu) Students must activate their email accounts before use.

STEP 2-Go to the VMWare web link and complete your initial registration
- Go to the
VMWare Webstore link for Madison Area Technical College-IT - For your initial access, find the “Not Registered” section to the right of the “Registered User Sign-In” section, and click the “Register” button
- On the next screen enter your student ID number in the field for “Account Identifier.”
- If the system does not recognize your student ID number, email Cheryl Halle halle@matcmadison.edu or John Tomczak jetomczak@matcmadison.edu to request access to the VMWare ELMS System. Include your full name and student ID number in the request email.
- Complete the registration process including entering your complete student email address in the email field. The information you enter here will become part of your logon to this system.
